Explanation / Answer

Bone marrow transplantation is a lifesaving procedure, which cure many immunocompromising disease. But in some cases it is not much beneficial. A bone marrow transplantation procedure starts from the point of stemcell donor matching. A perfect match can donate the cells . The most acceptable donor is siblings but in some cases it also contraindicated not all the time. The main issue is graft vs host syndrome, it should clearly explained to the recipient that this condition can leads to fatality.

1. In this case the ethical issues are crucial. Both donor and recipient are children such situations they lack the capacity to make informed and rational decision.

The risks are more than the benefits

The chances for rejection

2. In my opinion the stem cell harvesting should consider autograft because a new born umbilical stem cell harvesting is less risky and least painful. So in my opinion if possible get a match from the donor list.
