I have to write an internal proposal for one of my classes. Is there anything i should add? This is what i have so far. Choose one of these wasteful practices (or research wasteful office practices and identify one to address)and write an unsolicited internal proposal to your supervisor (invent a company name and address) which outlines your plan to reduce the amount of waste and save your company money. Be sure to include statistics and other factual evidence that back up your claims, both of waste and of potential for savings.

PURPOSE
This report proposes a means of saving the company by switching to energy-efficient light bulbs.
PROBLEM
For the year I have notice that we have been using incandescent light bulbs instead of energy efficient light bulbs. Now this wouldn’t be a big problem but the problem is that many of the offices lights are left on basically all the time costing our company money.
SOLUTION
To save our company money I would suggest switching all of our current light bulbs with energy efficient light bulbs. By switching to energy efficient light bulbs we won’t only save on our electric bill but we will also be reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.
BENEFITS
Energy efficient light bulbs I would recommend using LED light bulbs, since these are the most beneficial. Our current light bulbs that we use have only a lifespan of around 1200 hours, but with LED light bulbs there lifespan is around 50,000 hours. This is a huge difference in hours, imaging the time we can save of not have our repairman come in all the time changing light bulbs. LED light bulbs also use around 10x less energy than our standard light bulbs.
COST SAVINGS
Using LED light bulbs would save a lot of money for our company. We currently have around 100 light bulbs in our real estate office building. It’s costing our office around $1,500 dollars a year just for our current light bulbs and maybe even more since we leave our lights on even when we’re not even in the room. If we switched to LED light bulbs our annual cost would drop from around $1,500 to around $150 a year. Now this is an outstanding number considering we would save around $1,000 every year just on light bulbs. By just switching to LED lights our company would save a 1000% decrease in price.

Conclusion
Based on the findings I found I would highly recommend our company to consider switching to LED light bulbs. Not only would we save money but we would also have a smaller emission output.
