Please check my 2 answers QUESTION 5 Which of the following is NOT a function of RNA polymerase? ?a. binding to the promoter sequence 0 b. melts the double-stranded DNA to reveal the unpaired template strand O c. stops transcription of a termination sequence O d. polymerizes the first two nucleotides complementary to the template strand O e all of the above are functions of RNA polymerase QUESTION 6 During the 'elongation' stage of translation, after the arrival of each new tRNA 0 a, the new tRNA must first bind to the P-site of the ribosome o b the peptide is passed from the tRNA in the P-site to the tRNA in the A-site C- the amino acid is passed from the tRNA in the A-site to the tRNA in the P-site Od newly arriving tRNAs must first bind to the E-site

Explanation / Answer

Both the answers are correct

RAN polymerase do not stops the transcption at termination sequence. It is done by other factors like Rho hexamer.

And in Rho independent termination there are some specific sequences in template that faorms a secondery structures like hairpins that leads to the termination of the transcption.

During the elongation stage of the translation the peptide is passed from the t-RNA in the P-site to the t-RNA in the A-site and the t-RNA which is there in the P-site released out through the E-site, now A-site is free,a new t-RNA comes and binds at A-site.
