Question

Please help!! I have three math questions that I am really stuck on. Will give max points for someone who gives all of the correct answers. Thanks!

1)A rectangular storage container with an open top is to have a volume of 10 m3. The length of this base is twice the width. Material for the base costs $5 per square meter. Material for the sides costs $3 per square meter. Find the cost of materials for the cheapest such container. (Round your answer to the nearest cent.)

2)Find the area of the largest rectangle that can be inscribed in a right triangle with legs of lengths 4 cm and 6 cm if two sides of the rectangle lie along the legs.

3) The upper right-hand corner of a piece of paper, 8 in. by 6 in., as in the figure, is folded over to the bottom edge. How would you fold it so as to minimize the length of the fold? In other words, how would you choose x to minimize y?
