Because inadequate precautions in research involving human subjects can result in significant harm, many professional associations, governmental agencies, and universities have adopted specific policies related to research ethics. Discuss a solution to the problem of ensuring that scientific research on human subjects does not violate the subjects’ rights.

Explanation / Answer

Conducting Researches involving human subjects has not always a good thing to the human lives, sometimes or many a times it brings negative consequence on human lives individually or socially.

as mentioned above researches can result in a significant harm to human subjects(due to inadequate precautions) . so in order to counter this problem the government agencies and certain universities have adopted some protocols under which researches should be conducted.

first thing which comes in everybody's mind is human ethics or morality which reminds us, what can we achieve by costing life of an individual to save other humans , everybody has the right to live safely.

the solution to this problem could be such as considering some vital points before conducting resarches:

1) what is the purpose of the research:

what could we achieve by conducting certain research, does the project will change any good to humans, does it harm the human lives and locality? questions must be asked for sure to obey protocols we have to accurate and certain of what we do.

2) time period of the research:

its quite essential to know how much time and money the research would require, too much under the observation ,the human subject may go to depression and sort of other disorders. another thing is that dedicating too much time and finally the conclusion is not so worthy to the human benefit may also cost time and money loss.

3)  honesty is the critical thing while performing any task . there may be a case when everthing starts good and well . feedbacks are also positive and the researches expects something good from the project . but just before the conclusion of the research there arises a dilemma to save the project or the human loss. we must be honest in this case and give human ethics our priority.

4) what are the risk and benefits:

what we perform always have some consequences , so keeping this in mind we must always consider whenever performing involving human subjects there is always a risk to him/her physically, financially and socially .

so we should realise that risks never go ahead of the benefits involved in the research , rather than the vice versa always follows. risking human lives even for a great result is against the protocol and human ethics.

so by following the above methods discussed there must be not completely but certain relieve to this problem.
