It shows a cross-section view of a subsurface with layers of sediment that have differing porosity and permeability. Use the image below (Groundwater Model) to answer the following questions. The groundwater will flow from higher elevation to lower elevation in the direction of maximum change of elevation.so ground water will flow from left to right as the elevation is decreasing to greater extent.It helps to determine where a water in a well comes from.
