I need help with proving the foloowing:
i solve it but i don't think i got the right answer: THIS IS MY SOLUTION:
proof by contradiction: for n = 2, a < a^n = a < a ^2 which is true
for n = 3 = a < a^3 which is also true and go on with numbers
suppose that the statement right that a < a^n at level n
we need to prove that a < a ^ (n+1) is true at level n+1
so a < a^n = a< a ^(n+1)
= a< a^n X a^1
= aX a < a
= a^2 < a = a< 1
That's my SOLUTION so can any one please help me to check my answer?
