In TIRE BARN he gets 20% rebate , 20% of 180=(20/100)*180=180/5=36 on each tire. So total saving = 36*4=$144.
In DISCOUNT TIRE , on buying 3 he gets one free, it means he pays 3*180=$540 and cost of 4 tires=4*180=$720, it means Cory saves 720-540=$180 on buying 4 tires as whole. So on each tire he saves 180/4=$45.
As we can see more saving will be on buying 3 tire and get 1 free from DISCOUNT TIRE and saving is $45 on each tire.
