Question
The number o leasable square feet of office space available in a city on any given day has a normal distribution with mean 640,000 square feet and a standard deviation of 18000 square feet. what is the interquartile range for this distribution.Any ideas how to do this one. I tried adding one standard deviation and subtractiong one standard deviation from the mean and then subtracting these values from each other, but that was not the answer.
also can anyone explain why the answer to this problem is not all of the above?:
Sampling error occurs
a. when interviewers make mistakes resulting in bias
b. because a sample statistics is used to estimate a population parameter (answer)
c. when interviewers use judgment instead of random choice in picking the sample
d. when samples are too small
any help would be great
