1. The shape of the valley is U shaped since it is a glacially carved valley. As we see the spacing of contour on the left side of the valley is more closely spaced which means here the gradient of the slope is more whereas on the right hand side of the valley the spacing of contours is wide so here the slope gradient is gentle. Also the valley floor is broad.
2. The shape of the profile formed entirely by the river is V shaped. This valley is carved from the erosion of the rock by the rivers which are moving fast. This valley has narrow floor with steep sloped sides on both sides of the mountains. Whereas the profile valley of the Tenaya is glacially carved valley and is U shaped. Also the floor of the valley is broad.
