we invested billions of dollars on the searching project of a new planet which is identical to earth because of some curiosity and some of the fear that we need a new planet to survive our species in the future when the earth will become the inhabitable so what should be the quality in a new planet where we can live after earth-
1. atmosphere- we need the ozone layer in our atmosphere otherwise we cant survive, ultraviolet can be very dangerous for all of us and plus we need the layer of atmosphere otherwise several meteorites will hit the surface on the daily basis in huge amount.
2. we need a perfect distance from the sun because we need the perfect temperature to survive if the planet will be near to the sun then the temperature will be so high to live and if the planet will be situated far from the sun then the temperature will be in minus degrees, and we can't afford it.
3. moons of the planet are also important because tide totally depends on the gravitational force of the moon.
4. we need land to live if the planet would be full of water only then it will be problematic.
5. type of orbit must be identical to earth
6. if there are any other species will be preset then we need to try to communicate with them and try to establish harmony
