Explanation / Answer

B cell and T cell both are the immune cells of body responsible for protecting body against any foreign particle or microbes.

The first option is most suitably correct as other have little bit of deviation from the original mechanism.

B cells play a major role in antibody generation while T cell is mainly responsible for cytotoxicity.

That's why bacteria are killed by B cells however virus containing cells are cytotoxically attacked by T cells, similar to what happened in cell lysis.

-Receptors present on B cells are called b cell receptor while receptor present on T cells are called T cell receptor.

- B cells and T cells are produced in bone marrow, B cells maturation occurs in bone marrow while T cells maturation occur in Thymus.

- B cells float in blood and attack the antigen present by binding to antigen with the help of b cell receptor, simultaneously it also binds to helper T cell which help in activation of b cell and thus it leads to antibody production by plasma cells and memory cell remain as memory for further any future infection of the same kind. This memory cell will reduce the time body take to prevent infection.

T cell mainly identifies the antigenic component expressed on the surface of infected cell with the help of MHC and later cytotoxically kills the infected cell.

Thus both B cell and T cell are important part of cell mediated and humoral adaptive immune system.
