if they both run at the same time, then Jones will finish in10.75 seconds. But once Jones is finished, Tyus still has torun for 11.08 - 10.75 = .33 seconds in order to finish using your chart, Tyus runs at 9.0 m/s, so he has 9.0 m/s *.33 s ˜ 3 meters left to run. So Jones beats Tyus by 3 meters
