let amount in uncle account = x
amount in parents account = x + 900
using formula interest = P * r *t
total interest = x * 0.08 * 1 + (x+900) * 0.06 *1
138 = 0.08x+0.06x+54
thus 0.14x = 84
x = 600
account paying 6 % = 600+900 = $ 1500
account paying 8% = $600
