1.      A researcher randomly selected 100 teachers from a large school district and divided them into two groups: those with a master's degree and those without one. Then the researcher assessed their level of multicultural awareness to see if it was related to their educational attainment.

Explanation / Answer

This is a quasi-experiment because here the sample of 100 teachers are not randomly assigned to the two groups - masters or not. In a true experiment, participants are randomly assigned to either the treatment or the control group, whereas they are not assigned randomly in a quasi-experiment.
