Simpson's Paradox Question? WILL GIVE BEST ANSWER!

On April 15, 1912, on her maiden voyage, the Titanic collided with an iceberg and sank. The ship was luxurious but did not have enough lifeboats for the 2224 passengers and crew. As a result of the collision, 1502 people died. The ship had three classes of passengers. The level of luxury and the price of the ticket varied with the class, with first class being the most luxurious. There were 323 passengers in first class, 277 in second class, and 709 in third class.

I need help with the last part of this quesition. I will give the other parts that I have.

Compare the analyses that you performed in part g) to the analysis in part e). Is this an example of

Simpson’s paradox?

E. We chose to compare the amount of survivors from class one out of the total number of survivors. The results show that most of the survivors came from class one, more of class one was placed on boats probably because they were the first to be put on the boats.

Explanation / Answer

Given

The results show that most of the survivors came from class one, more of class one was placed on boats probably because they were the first to be put on the boats.

Let us study by detailed study and overall study

From both the above tables, it is clearly evident that Class 1 people have more surviors

Since above results are not conflicting and doesnot change the interpretations, we can conclude that above iis not a simphons paradox
