if we assume it is a normal distribution then we can apply 68 95% 99.7% rule within 1 sd 2 sd and 3 sd correspondingly.

By that method

a) 68% of the white homicide victims will be between (38.55-4.367) and (38.55+4.367) i.e. 34.183 and 42.917

b) 95% of the black homicide victims will be between 52.288 and 70.072

c) 99.7% of the white homicide victims will be between 47.842 and 74.518
