1).

Median = 15

1st quartile = 6

3rd quartile = 23

2). Using excel,

=VAR(--data set range--)

Sample Variance=2.289048

3).

For A) CV = 0.1

For B) CV = 0.05

Stock A has more variability.

4).

Mean=7.3

Median = 7.5

Range = 10

Standard deviation = 3.2677

IQR = Q3 – Q1 = 10.25-4.75 = 5.5

CV = standard deviation / mean = 0.4477
