An effective leader can stay positive and enthusiastic in the work pressure and stress he gets with it by balancing their work and managing their energy instead of managing the time they have for completing the task. They have to be working overtime of upto 8-10 hours a day to fulfill the requirements of their position. That cannot be avoided hence they work on the generating energy in them to work for that long. They do that by different ways that they find most entertaining like spending stress free weekends with family and friends, taking week long vacations twice or thrice a week or taking up activities that interests them like playing tennis, running marathon, gyming, cycling or meditation on regular basis.

Also to work efficiently leaders manage information flow instead of reducing it. They keep control on how much information is required for their profession and make it available to themselves through laptop, phones, newspapers and other media channels. They also hire people under them to filter the information they require, for eg, translator for a leader who is into a lot of travelling in his job.
