1). Select one HR related topic that is of interest to you; (as an example, strategic management, workforce planning, human resources development, employee and labor relations, risk management etc...);

2). prepare 8-10 questions that would further develop your understanding of both the larger HR profession, or a specialty area of interest;

3). begin planning for the interview for week 6, 7 or 8. The assignment is due in week 8, so don't delay too long!

4). prepare a 3 to 4 page paper (3 page minimum) that summarizes the interview.

Human Resources Development

Humans are the important resources of the company. Either of the company would not perform if the human resources are not present in the company. They may be less in numbers or might be more according to the size of the business. So, on these resources an extra effort should be taken by the company as they are the essential part of the company.

Human resource development actually integrates the benefits of training, organizing and employees career development efforts to enhance the capabilities of the individual, group and organizational effectiveness. The Human resource development creates the enthusiasm in the individual to develop their selves.

Human Resource development has the key competencies which helps and encourages the employee to development. The company planned for these development activities. The company take the initiative for the employee as they provide the basic training. This training initiative would provide the communication development skills, personality development skills, Education skills regarding the topics, organizational behavior and culture development training etc. The Company either provides the external training for this process such as visiting various places and resources out side the company premises or they provide inhouse training.

The connections among employees and the team work would be also given by the mentor or the trainer who has been hired for the training process.

The main function of human resource development is to enhance the level of performance and the individual ability which contributes to the organization as well as the individual itself.

The Assessment is also done time to time for the training process which depicts the level of effectiveness of this process.

The training and development conducted by the HR Department of the organization actually maintains the ability of the employee to be productive.
