I believe that I've found the stationary points correctly. Basically, I just used the first derivative to find them. I then made a Hessian matrix to find their characteristics. As I believe I was taught in class, if all diagonal elements are greater than zero and the primary determinants are greater than zero, it would be positive definite. If they are greater than or equal to zero, they would be positive indefinite. If they are less than (or equal to zero), then they would be negative definite or semidefinite. If they are neither, then they would be indefinite.
As you can see by my work at the bottom, I've found both stationary points to be indefinite. This doesn't seem right to me, but I'm not sure how it could be wrong. Can someone review my work and help me check to see if I am correct?
