Assignment #3. Developing a Motivation Plan
Suppose that you have been hired by a company to help motivate its workforce. Recently, the company has observed that most employees are demotivated and as a result, performance has dropped substantially. The company has also noticed a rise in absenteeism and lateness. Employees are complaining about the content of their job. Some argue that their jobs are routine and boring and do not provide opportunities for responsibility, autonomy and accountability. Other employees also contend that the jobs do not offer the opportunity to use their skills and/or a variety of skills. They also complain about the social environment at work that they consider toxic. They even contend that the work environment does not offer enough opportunity for social interactions. Employees are also complaining about their compensation. Some think that the salaries they receive are meager. Others contend that the salaries are not competitive compared to what other companies in the same industry offer. Based on this information, you are asked to propose a motivation plan that would address three main areas: 1) the compensation system, 2) the characteristics of the jobs, and 3) the social environment of the organization. Be specific in writing this motivation plan. Rely on your understanding of human motivation (theories and techniques).
Grading Criteria:
1. Clarity and specificity of arguments.
2. Soundness of arguments presented.

It can be applied to the workplace by making sure that the employee are treated well and they are appreciated for their work
B)Maslow theory of needs-
focus on lower pyramid of hierachy ake sure they are well appreciated and respected
