Explanation / Answer

After taking the LSI test, you have learned that you’re a visual and auditory learner.

LSI skills are used to determine the learning style of a student. In identifying that I’m a visual and auditory learner, would imply that I would be able to better grasp concepts if they are presented in the form of graphics or diagrams, (visual) or by listening to someone explaining a concept, in the form of a lecture by taking notes or by recalling or repeating words.

Describe how the scores on your LSI coincide with current study skills. How do they complement each other?

The scores in the LSI coincide with the current study skills as in the current skills, we are presented with topics that are presented on slides with a speaker, in the form of a lecturer, who delivers the lecture explaining a particular topic. This along with pictures, and graphs helps me to grasp the concept in a better manner. I prefer taking notes in the lecture which helps me learn the topics taught. Auditory and visual skills are extremes but a balance between these pairs helps a person build their linguistic intelligence. Since the scores represent verbal/visual, it would help me as many a times when presentations are not used to supplement an information, memory using the heard information would help.

What are two ways you can maximize study skills based on your LSI scores?

Two ways of maximising my study skills using LSI scores would be by learning through Flashcards or by drawing graphs and diagrams. This could be maximised by using written notes at the time of attending the lecture. This could further be maximised by discussion with peers such that later it could be enhanced by recalling these discussions. Also, there could be certain patterns jotted down that would help the person recall the words.
