Question
The scholar of comparative religions Joseph Campbell once suggested that the dominant world religions all differed from the indigenous religions by the requiring followers to distance themselves from the powerful personal religious experiences that were routine in many indigenous societies. While you were invited to test this assertion in the following chapters, can you see any problems with the traditions that invite everyone to have regular immersion into the sacred as described in this chapter?
Explanation / Answer
The tradition that invites everyone to have regular immersion into the sacred is healthy according to me as that unites me with Christ and my Lord. According to the Christian concept as one body, we all are immersed in the sacred Force. Thus being connected with my creator and master makes me a better person. Hence as a believer; I feel there is no harm in having regular immersion into the sacred. It is a kind of spiritual healing for me.
