Explanation / Answer
Note: This response is in UK English, please paste the response to MS Word and you should be able to spot discrepancies easily. You may elaborate the answer based on personal views or your classwork if necessary. Also, after taking a look at some of these questions, I presume the answers are based on some of your class material as it needs context. For instance, religious symbols evoke emotions for me but not for you perhaps. However, if the question is based on a study conducted that found people get emotional upon seeing a religious symbol, then, the answer is true. Therefore most of these answers depend on the context. I recommend that you check the chapter of your textbook that these questions are asked from.
(Answer) (20) I'm going say “True.” This is because emotions are relative but generally religious symbols do have a deep historical or theological meaning behind it.
(22) (B) because a religion has to be practiced for it to be adopted. For instance, the 7 sacrament in Catholicism or a Bar Mitzvah in Judaism needs to be practiced for one to be validated as a Catholic or Jew. Other religions that are less traditional also need you to practice a certain ideology if not a tradition. For instance, Buddhists have to practice tolerance.
(23) (D) Logically, all religions have different methods of deeming an incident a “miracle.” However, let us assume Catholicism for this answer since it is the oldest and most widely practiced. For something to be a miracle, at least one of the five senses needs to experience the incident. The Vatican commission sometimes investigates occurrences for years before validating it as a miracle. A disease needs to be cured (not medically), an incident needs to be witnessed etc.
(25) (A) possibly because naturalists believe that the world is controlled by nature and not the supernatural.
