Explanation / Answer
My own values might conflict with the counselling of clients that are homosexual. My religious values; according to which homosexuality is prohibited might affect the helping relationship of the counsellor; as I will not be full of empathy for homosexuals; whom according to my religious beliefs; I might consider as transgressors of divine laws (Elliott, 2011).
