1. What is Netflix’ culture and how does it differ, in their minds, from other Silicon Valley companies? Amazon, Zappos,Wells and Netflix have honorable leadership principles — what makes the use of them so different in each company?

2. How does the Netflix culture fill employees’ and customers’ needs? If there are successful companies that have great cultures, why don’t all the companies adopt them?

1. Netflix tries to capitalize on one of the most basic human needs of functioning that are other than the physiological functions. It pays attention to the axiom of man is a social animal, and has since its advent tried to forge the basis of its culture into making the social environment at its work place as amicable and social as possible.

It propounds in its culture page that there is absolutely no room for the so called 'brilliant jerks' that have been romanticized and incentivized at various other firms.

Their leadership style is not based on the charismatic style of leadership, but the properties of transformational and authentic leadership styles are inherent within the personalities of these aforementioned organizations.  

2. They believe in the retention of effective followers as is a theory in industrial psychology. Effective followers are the most valuable to a given organization as they make active contributions towards the morale of the firm.

Employee needs are tackled with respect to ones social being and respect and belongingness, as they believe in having a union of like minded individuals which caters to its employees a dream job.  

It is not possible for every company to adopt a certain kind of personality as it requires building from scratch, these companies have been known to hire and attract such employees since their inception. Their exist practical and financial difficulties that need to be addressed to inculcate a certain culture in the work force of an organization.
