Please view the "funny" training video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXILI9Q1jIw and note as many "incorrect" behaviors from the presenter as you can find. What method(s) would you suggest that he use to improve his delivery and facilitation skills?
After watching the “funny” presentation video, my observations were as follows:
“Incorrect” Behavior
Correct Behavior
Presenter was unprepared
Be prepared and set up well before audience arrives
Presenter’s clothing was disheveled
Presenter should look presentable – clean, clothes pressed and neat, haircut and fixed
Presenter seemed unfamiliar with the product and content
Know the presentation content and practice it before presentation
Technology “misfires”
Test technology ahead of time
Poor attempt at humor
Leave humor to the comedians
Presenter’s phone rang & he answered it
Turn off phone and other devices that aren’t part of presentation
