Explanation / Answer
From the case study it reveals that some sort of negligencies are there in the top management for which employees are taking their jobs casually and performing reluctantly. This type of attitudes are slowly affecting the patients trust in this organisations. Whatever I felt is that to bring motivation is quite important because its not the problem of a single employee but several employees are there in this organisation who are doing their jobs casually , so firing policy would not be effective as it will hamper the entire operations. Some sort of encouraging activities are needed like motivational trainings , job rotations , a system to be developed to measure the job performances of the employees and a performamce appraisal system needs to be developed.
To bring back the management in order , a core committee needs to be conducted with the senior professionals who felt the importance also in this organisation and to distribute jobs to them accordingly . By doing this improvements can be measured by taking reports from them . For attandences biometric system should be there to track the inn and out timings and along with a discussions with the HR professional some sort of perks or overtime system needs to be introduced which will bring back the interests of the employees to spend more time in the organisations. Sudden visits to the various departments are necessary and weekly review is important. Overall management style should be participative one . These should be the first steps to accelerate the management system and in the second phase definitely some employees will improve and if some will not then management may think of replacing them by giving proper notices to them .
