Allowing mobile technology can be a great help to students. There can be several consequences as well.
Using mobile phones in class can result in the lesser involvement f students in the class studies, there might be a clear shift in the interest to social media and playing games and doing other stuff rather than studies. This can have a serious negative impact on their studies and may result in severe consequences. There are students who don't want to study or may generally not find interest in the academic subjects, such students will definitely get distracted from this step of incorporating mobile phone in class studies.
Such steps can be taken but some strict actions should be taken. A special monitoring work should be allotted to the teacher to also take care that student is not using their phone to open some inappropriate content in classes.
Social media should not be promoted during classes.
Students should be forced to use google or search at the same time and a general interactive session should be there when they will be asked questions, this will make them more attentive and may increase their interests.
Some open book, open internet tests should also be there, this will increase their potential and also they will know how to use the available sources more effectively.
