Step 1 :--- Identify the problem, dilemma, or conflict --------It means idendifying the ethical problems. Ethical problems (moral dilemmas invariably involvig conflict, choosing between equally desirable or undesirable alternatives, or balancing options ). Example
john had several friends including swag and Dany. Swag has recently met and started dating a wonderful lady named Lucy. They made it a long term relationship. Unknown to Swag, John observed them at a bar several days ago and realized Lucy is the wife of his other friend Dany.
John is deciding whether to tell Swag that Lucy is married when he receives a call from Dany. Dany suspects his wife is having an affair and since they and John share many friends and contacts, he asks if John has heard anything regarding an affair.
To whom does John owe greater friendship to in this situation? No matter who he tells, he is going to end up hurting one, if not both friends. Does he remain silent and hope his knowledge is never discovered?
