(Answer) Reading Response –
The study, “Queering methodologies to understand queer families” is the kind of study where the focus is not particularly on the subject but rather on the research methodology. In recent times, a number of homosexual couples and families have become rather more open about their orientation and individuality.
The researchers conceive that LGBTQ individuals, groups and families tend to concern different variables and elements that current normative studies don’t really explore. Therefore, through this paper, the researchers attempt to find and understand which empirical tool or research methodologies help to best understand and freely explore these new dynamic families of society.
This research explores the focus of variables such as:
LGBTQ individuals, LGBTQ families, the distinction between LGBT and queer, methodological and epistemological designs about the family scene, values related to qualitative and quantitative data and new and mixed methodologies.
All of these variables are churned through the mill of secondary qualitative analysis. This is done in the study to help researchers explore unchartered territories in research, in order to better understand the unit of the queer family. Such studies help psychological and family scientist better understand this new social group and help better their prospects through data derived from apt methods and accurate studies.
