Substance abuse disorder- Abuse of one or more substances causing significant impairment to physical and mental health. It is characterized by continued pathological use of drug, which also results in adverse social consequences such as interpersonal conflicts, failure at school, college etc.
Schizophrenia- It is a mental disorder affecting how a person sees, thinks and behaves. The defining characteristics of this disorder include negative symptoms, delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech and behaviour. These symptoms may not be seen in all the patients and can also change over time.
