You have been told, however, that the people from the other company will not deal with a woman. When previous negotiating teams have been sent, their negotiators clearly ignore the woman and talk only to the male, even though the male is the woman’s assistant. What would you do?

In this situation as the boss of the company while trying to close a major deal with another company I will appoint a male negotiator to better facilitate the communication because I cannot change minds of people so soon. Later on once the deal is finalized and we have more interactions I can think of changing the stereotypes prevalent in the other company.
