Explanation / Answer

Profiling is a topic that criminal justice ethics looks at. One hand, it is critical for officers and law enforcers to use their discretion and judgement of individuals in determining the best course of action on a case-by-case basis. However, the criminal justice system is rife with incorrect assumptions and stereotypes that result in unfair racial or ethical profiling cases every day. While certain situations require making immediate assessments of suspects, there are several instances where ethical and fair procedures are ignored.
