Andreas wants to be an actor, even though it's a profession that is not highly respected in his society. Suppose an Objective List theory takes having a respected profession as one of the items on the list. According to this Objective List theory, it will be bad for Andreas' well being for him to become an actor. Andreas thinks this just shows that Objective List theories are false. It seems wrong to suppose that acting is prudentially bad for him even though he wants to do it and it gives him pleasure.
