One of your friends asks you for advice. She//he wants to study a Bachelor degree but is not too sure in which area. She heard that Marketing is an interesting field but is not sure if it is really relevant in today’s society. Explain in your own words why Marketing is important for society.
Your friend works part time in her family’s milk bar. Her parents are considering to sell Ben & Jerry’s ice cream at the shop but a supermarket next door sells ice cream as well, so her parents are not sure if people would buy ice cream from their shop. They need to understand how consumers come to a purchase decision. Try to help them?
The milk bar is a well-established business for more than 30 years already. Customers are happy with its quality products, and friendly and quick service. Using a SWOT model, analyse the milk bar’s microenvironment.

Marketing is one of the most popular stream to carry with as marketing plays a vital role for any company to sell their products , attract more customers etc. Maximum number of jobs are available in marketing and any way hard work and luck is very important to achieve something great.
Marketing is an exciting, innovating field to be in. Majorly supported by innovation as this is the field with extensive competition and regourous hardwork is required.
It is important for the society as it helps customers to make aware about the pros and cons of the product.
Marketing involves advertising which helps in maintaining healthy competition and mainly as customer get good product at good price due to marketing.
Marketing helps in expanding of company which gives employment to many people and high revenue for the government in form of tax which is good for the economy.
Marketing leads to many alternatives of product it makes aware that what is the need of the customer ?
How to target them? How to retain them?
If their will be no marketing monopoly can be created by some company in their product which will destroy small and medium businesses.
Persuading bachelor degree in marketing is a good idea as per me as some quatities in an individual can help in achieving great success in this field.
If you have a proper communication skill , can keep patience, can do hard work , makes themself updated with the current technology and market trend , can identify their customer's requirements then one can easily be able to make a golden career.
