Some osteopania with mild scores of osteoporosis especially in her lower spine has been noted. Her doctor wishes to pursue some investigational testing. She has one bout with kidney stones. He believe her mother might have had kidney stones as well but she is not sure. She has occasional abdominal pain, with concurrent joint and bone pain. Her appetite is Ok, but sometimes is off. She is occasionally depressed.

2. The diagnosis in case of osteoporosis,abdominal,joint and bone pain may include osteomalacia, tumor, osteonecrosis, infection and other bone softening metabolic disorders.

The diagnosis of kidney stones is best accomplished by using ultrasound, intravenous pyleography or a CT scan.

3.Thyroid test, uric acid test, calcium tests might be ordered.

4.The disorsers may be abnormal tissue response, lack of receptors, lack of enzymes for cell response, decreased plasma protein binding.

5.Lithotripsy is followed for kidney stones and for osteoporosis vitamin D drugs like calcitrol are preffered.
