This assessment will be used to determine how well you have learned Course Learning Outcome 1, "Analyze human behavior using theories from the major theoretical perspectives of psychology." 1 Aggresion may be described using Biological theory. Aggresion stems from neurotransmitters like adrenaline and nor adrenaline. CSF 5 HIAA levels have also been found to be low in those who lack empathy/ prone for aggression. CSF 5 HIAA levels are also low in suicide attempters which is a form or agression directed towards self.
2 Being organized may be explained by Psychoanalytic theory of Freud. Individuals fixated or regressed to anal stage may display over cleanliness or excessive organization as a personality trait.
3 Smoking may be explained by learning theory, by operant conditioning. Each time a person smokes he or she feels better getting a reward which acts as positive reinforcement. Not smoking causes anxiety or other withdrawal symptoms which acts as negative reinforcement.
