Explanation / Answer

Ethics is defined as a branch of philosphy that addresses questions of what actions and inactions are appropriate or not. It is not ethical on the part of a helper to try out a strategy thay he/she has never used before. The helper needs to build a trust with the client. If he/she is not sure about the approach, the client may not feel good but instead will have a bad experience with the helper. It is always more helpful if one works within the framework of an established theory instead of creating their own theory.
