Question

I need to rewrite the following two paragraphs for an assignment: In the absence of definitive studies regarding the optimum length of the school day, I can only state my personal. opinion based upon observations based by me and upon teacher observations that have been conveyed to me. Considering the length of the present school day, it is my opinion that the day is excessive length-wise for most elementary pupils, certainly for almost all of the primary children. To find my answer to the problem requires consideration of two ways in which the problem may be viewed. One way focuses upon the needs of the children, while the other focuses upon logistics, transportation, scheduling, and other limits imposed by the educational system. If it is necessary to prioritize these two ideas, it would seem reasonable to give the first consideration to the primary reason for the very existence of the system, i.e., to meet the educational needs of the children the system is trying to serve

Explanation / Answer

With regard to the demanding optimum hours of a regular day in school, I reckon and so do the teachers, that it is too long a day for most elementary students especially for the children in kindergarten. It does not contribute to the purpose of learning and performing well in academics.

I reckon, there are two solutions to the problem. Firstly, the management requires to consider a student's needs. Secondly, the management should look for fun ways of teaching which enhances a student's interest in learning. The school hours should be rescheduled. Easy and comfortable commute should also be availed to students who need it. Limiting students should also be curbed a tad bit. Education aims at offering the best learning experience to a child. However, if the above needs are not met, the child may never develop interest in learning which is certainly the major agenda and purpose of the whole educational system.
