I agree with Sam Haris on the note that we should fear AI. Why you might ask? We have already reached an age of artificial intelligence being able to trade stocks, pilot aircraft, and even sort our emails. That itself is quite impressive already. If we allow AI to reach super intelligent levels and accomplish even bigger things, I believe it will be the end of humanity. AI would be detrimental to our economy if our current economic systems don’t change (if you keep up with current news, you would probably know what I mean). AI industries are booming. They're creating new jobs. This leads to an overall decrease in the amount of new jobs available to people. People are already struggling to make a living. If a bigger population of people are jobless, then the division of money would become crazy difficult. The second problem is that some people could use AI in a bad way to destroy humanity. Haris notes, AI could have vastly more intelligence than us measly humans. Even if we had good intentions programmed into the AI, we wouldn’t be entirely sure how the AI could work.

If we connected AI to our brains, hackers can potentially have direct access to our brains. We don’t have the means of controlling technology even with laws. Sure, the government can create new laws. But many laws are made or adjusted after something has already happened by learning through mistakes. We cannot afford to make these mistakes. All in all, I think the greatest problem is that humans will not stop pursuing more efficient means of doing things without relying on technology. That is essentially how AI came to be.

Explanation / Answer

Yes, I am also agree with Sam Haris up to some extent but we do not need to fear artificial Intelligence (AI).

Every new technology or discovery has both positive and negative aspects or we can say advantages and disadvantages. If we talk about the benefits of AI in this modern era then we will find that it has given human civilisation a big leap and rapid growth in almost all the fields. AI helps us doing the difficult & tedious tasks where humans cannot reach and instruct the devices like in deep space, in high-level computations of super computers, space crafts, in business analysis, trading, mines, high temperature furnaces, in complex medical operations, in policy making, whether forecasting, agriculture where we need perfection in job with accuracy & time efficiency and less need of human instructions, guidance and intervention.

Therefore, after seeing so wide range of applicability, quick & smart response ability we can say that Ai is must for this modern world. And definitely we can say that it will help us directly or indirectly in job creation too because of its wide usefulness

But if we talk about negative sides of it, as mentioned in the given paragraph that robots with AI can increase unemployment, can replace human labour power or can make humans too much dependent on such devices so that they will become super lazy in coming time and yes, that seems to be quite possible in near future but we can solve this problem with better strategies

If we make our policies in such a manner that robots with AI should only be used for research medical, space, business areas or in fatal & risky environments for humans then only its probable adverse effects can be controlled. We should follow some ethics while applying AI in human or animal brains. It should only be done for research purpose or for treatment of mental problems and diseases that too under strict supervision of authorised govt. institution so that hackers or other anti-humanity elements cannot misuse this technology
