ANSWER 4. TETANUS:It is the spasmodic contractions of the muscles of the face , neck and trunk caused by the bacterial infection spread through infected wounds.
It is an infection caused by clostridium tetani, which exists as a commensal in the gut of humans and this is found in the soil.
This is transmitted to humans through soil infection in the form of wounds ,or cuts or abrasions.
clinical features:
1.Trismus--it is the spasm of the masseter muscle, it leads to difficulty in mouth opening.
2.Tonic rigidity spreads to involve all the muscles of the trunk , neck and face.
3.Autonomic involvement causes hypertension
4.Rarely localised spasm is noticed at the wound area only.

Physiological parameters leading to muscle fatigue:
1.Exercise:Exercising beyond the limit of the glucose availability in the body which is finally converted to lactic acid in the glycolysis where lactic acid is the end product ,this results in muscle fatigue due to lack of energy source from the body.
2.Calcium:When the levels of calcium in the body are below the normal levels , it leads to muscle fatigue and cramping as calcium acts as the coupling agent in the muscle contraction.
3.Clonus,Fasciculations:These are the involuntary contractions of the muscles where there is continuous uncontrolled involuntary movements finally leading to muscle fatigue.
