Beacuse tony took break of 10 days there may be some fitness factors get altered like reduction of VO2 max and muscle power but both are negligible in this case. Actually for loosing fitness in most of the runners minimum 7-14 days are required.so before running 26 miles in marathon he has to start up it with 18 miles a day so that his strength will gradually increases. So he can run comfortably about his 80% of his normal run.
