Question
Here's the simplest question ever:
Add 2 user controls and display them on your default aspx page. One control will be a simple list of store contact information. The other control will be a featured product control which displays a featured product of your choosing with an image and a description.
its a 5 mins job at most, if i can just understand it
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's what i did:
1) heres what i did. I created a master.page and I designed the header with banner, menu items below it, another empty space for content below it and then the footer with menu items liker terms, privacy and stuff.
2) then i created a Web user control form with .ascx. something like contactcontrols. ascx
3) Now I'm trying to create a default.aspx, when choosing the default.aspx, am i suppose to choose "web form using master page" which let me choose the master page on next screen???
4) web forms using master page only has controls and no html tags thus it would not allow me to register a page considering
<uc1:contactcontrols ID=contactcontrols....... suppose to be entered in between div tags.
5) Or am i suppose to create the default.aspx page without using the masterpage, which has all the html tags. but then do i register this page under master page
6) Or should i just create a hyperlink menu item that when clicked would transfer to the web controls. I know its alot easier than than i'm making it sound. but i have like 100 different ways this things is running in my head just making worse. lol.
i'm probably gonna laugh once i figure it out but for now i'm open to all and every suggestions. Thanks
Or if you can create me an example and link it through wikisend, that would be just as much appreciated.
