Personally speaking, I was trained for a new concept (Open Access-OA) in publishing. The manager told us the objective of the training i.e., OA will be the future of all journals. The second step is show wherein my manager set standards by showing us how to implement OA in the traditional publishing journals. The third step is try and my manager gave us the real time example of providing a sample journal for demonstrating the concept. The fourth step is to observe the performance of the trainees. The trainee is observed for his/her performance for implementing the concept. Then the final stage is that the trainee is praised for good performance and retrained if there is a requirement for improvement.
