Question

I'm using Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, and running OS X Lion on my Macbook. I use my laptop at home and on campus at school.

I've been using MS Office for a while with no problem, but recently (for about a week or two), excel crashes whenever I open it - but only when I'm at home. I've used it at school during these two weeks with no problem. However, when I'm at home, I can sometimes open excel, but within a minute or two, it crashes. Sometimes it crashes immediately upon opening. I'm opening the same files at home and at school, but at school they don't cause any problems. The crash comes with the message:
"Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I don't have the same problem when using Microsoft Word - Word seems to be fine whether I'm at home or at school.

I'm not sure what's going on. The conditions between home and school aren't drastically different (ie at both, my laptop is typically plugged in to thge charger). After a crash occurred at home, I tried shutting off my wifi and re-opening excel, but it crashed agaain (I didn't try restarting my computer first though). I'm not sure what to do, I really need to be able to use excel frrom home too!

Please let me know if there's any otther information I could provide that would be helpful, or if you have any ideas that could solve this issue.
