Question

Hey. I would like to have a general guidance as to the commands I should know as well as methods and sequences of applying these commands for my up coming lab this week. Please ask me via comment for more info if you need and I can provide through email, but give me as much help as you can nonetheless, thank you.

This week is a pair programming lab. You don't have to change partners from last time, but I think you will learn more if you do.

All work that you hand in must be done by your pair. You can ask other people questions, especially the TAs, but the work must be your own.

You may find it convenient to bring a USB key to the lab so that you can keep copies of the files you use and generate. If you don't you might like to email yourself a copy of the results file so that you have a record of it.

Recall that the dataset of MD&A language records the frequencies of the 2000 overall most frequent words in these documents, so each row corresponds to a document, and each column to the frequencies of a particular word in all of the documents.

The new idea this week is to capture the exploration of this dataset in scripts, that is sets of Matlab commands described in a file that can be executed as if they were single commands.

Repeat all of the analyses, remembering not to include the column that you used to sort. Write a few paragraphs explaining what you can see in these visualizations that is different from those generated by explore.m.

You will need the rdivide command (and its simpler notation form). For example, A./3 (notice the dot) divides every entry in a matrix by 3. Adapt this for your loop.

Explanation / Answer

you need to know the basic matlab commands like how to generate a matrix, matrix manipulation, matrix division and multiplication, plotting a curve etc. please mail to rtes.arm@gmail.com so that we can have a complete and comprenhensive discussion regarding this and i can solve your doubts , if any.
