The story of how McDonald’s came to existence started way back in 1950’s when a man by the name Ray Kroc discovered a small burger restaurant in California that was ran by brothers D and Mac McDonald’s. the two brothers whose restaurant only concentrated on very limited items were in search of a new agent, and that was when Ray Kroc in 1955 discovered the McDonald’s system and that was how the McDonald’s story began. The company has over thirty-six thousand restaurants in more than one hundred countries around the world and they are continuing to rapidly grow as time goes on.

Their strategic goal and objective as a company is to serve good food to customers in a friendly, fun environment, and to be a socially responsible company, while also providing good returns to their shareholders.

1) Succession planning will be utilized to select the future leaders for the possible roles to be created or fulfilled from the internal workforce. In this, a continuous effort will be implemented to develop those people who have potential to do something unique in terms of leadership. An organization can be said to be sustainable one if it has proper plan to fight the challenges against global warming, implementation of green products and marketing, environmental protection and preserving the area where it operates for longevity.
When, succession planning will be promoted then sustainable approach can be transferred from one generation to other one as these new leaders will have strong motivation from their preceding executives to manage the sustainable business development. They will be more creative and innovative to propose any change.
Even, many organizations don’t follow the practices of succession so as to bring new people for the organization. It has its own benefits and drawbacks. . When an organization will follow a leader organization then also it will not be utilize this succession approach. People who earn an avergae profits will not be utilized it. Even, when poor organizational management will be practiced by the organization then again it will not be utilized.
2) I will give following recommendations regarding the succession planning:
1) there should be a dedicated skill development program for refining the skills and growth of employees as current position of transition to a new role in the company in upcoming future.
2) Every employee must be given a chance to show their talent in terms of providing best product to customers as well as quality conscious services delivery as well.
3) People who have enough talent to mange big things they must be given some lucrative offers by the organization.
4) People given an enhanced responsibility must be guided by some senior employees of the organization.
5) A pool of talented candidates with the help of competence mapping and employees inventory must be developed.
6) A team of executives must be given responsibility to look this matter of succession planning.
7) Some suggestions from employees might be taken to best design this program.
