Question
Matlab Help me plz!!!
Water at 15°C flows through a nozzle that contracts from a diameter of 10 cm to 2 cm. The exit speed is V2 = 25 m/s and atmospheric pressure prevails at the exit of the jet. Calculate the pressure at section 1 and the force required to hold the nozzle stationary. Neglect weight. Formulate a
computer program that models the nozzle. With this program, create two contour plots that show section 1 pressure and force required to hold the nozzle stationary for exit diameters in the range of 0.25cm to 5cm and exit speeds from 3 m/s to 50 m/s.
Explanation / Answer
%q2=25,A2=2^2=4,A1=10^2=100 and we have to find q1
q2=25;
a2=4;
a1=100;
q1=(q2*a2)/a1; %which gives me q1=1
%%apllying bernouilee equation
%p1-p2=d/2*(q2^2-q1^2) d is density i.e 1000
p=1000/2*(25^2-1);
%fe sum of all forces acting on water m(v2-v1)
%m=daq(q2-q1)
fe=1000*3.14*0.05^2*(25-1);
fp=p*3.14*0.05^2;
% force on noozle =fe-fp;
%fp=p*area 188.5=p*a
fn=-fe+fp;
